AUBURN, AL (WAFF) -
One victim in the Auburn shooting is still fighting for his life after he was shot in the head Saturday.
Three people were killed and three injured in Saturday's shooting. Officials said the family of John Robertson requested the status of his condition be withheld; so far, he remains in critical condition. Moss and Eric Mack were released from the hospital and returned home.
Investigators said that Desmonte Leonard opened fire at a party in Auburn. Demario Pitts, Ed Christian and Ladarious Phillips were killed.
Two of the deceased victims were former Auburn football players. One of the injured is a current Auburn offensive lineman.
Leonard turned himself into police Tuesday evening. A manhunt has been underway since authorities said he fled the scene of the shooting with two other men. A standoff took place at a Montgomery residence where authorities believe Leonard was hiding but it was determined he was not there.
Leonard is charged with 3 counts of capital murder and 2 counts of assault. WAFF-48 Legal Analyst Mark McDaniel said more charges could follow depending on the condition of shooting victim John Robertson. Leonard could face charges of capital murder of attempted murder.
Jeremy Thomas Gabriel Thomas were both arrested for hindering prosecution prior to Leonard turning himself in.
Leonard is currently charged with three counts of capital murder and two counts of first degree assault. He is being held on no bond.
