LORAIN, OH (WOIO) -
Officers say the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Bandit has struck again! The latest incident was around 1 a.m. Tuesday, June 19.
And to make matters worse, he's hitting up the same Sunoco gas station on Oberlin Avenue to get his chocolate fix.
Police say he's stolen more than $400 to $600 worth of peanut butter cups, in the past several months.
The guy is bold. He walks right in and makes a B-line for the chocolate.
He's snatched this treat before and each time he gets away with his hands full of the dark peanut butter cups of joy.
Police say he also robbed the gas station just after Midnight on Monday, June 18. Sunoco employees were ready for him when he came in that night.
Surveillance video shows the employee behind the counter leaping out at the crook, foiling his master plan. But he's still to skinny to catch and hold.
The big question investigators are facing is why in the world steal a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup when there are so many other tasty treats staring at you?
The bandit is 5'10" and weighs about 140 lbs. He wears black clothes and a hoodie.
If you recognize him call Crime Stoppers at 216-25 CRIME . That's 216-252-7463.
