Change of Venue Denied

 

There will be no change of venue in the case against Harvey Updyke. He's the man charged with poisoning the trees at Toomer's Corner in Auburn. Today,  a judge denied motions for a change, as well as a continuance in the case. We'll have the latest on the case, as well as jury selection at 5:00pm.  

 A huge outpouring of support for Auburn shooting victim John Robertson.  He remains at UAB Hospital. Many people have raised money to help his family with food and hotel stays. Robertson was shot in the head during the Auburn shootings that left two others wounded and three others dead. The alleged shooter, Desmonte Leonard, turned himself in last week.

Breaking News: A House Committee has recommended that Attorney General Eric Holder be cited for contempt of Congress for failing to turn over documents relating to the botched Fast and Furious weapons operation. We'll have the latest from Washington. 

Alabama State University now has a home for its newly-formed Center for AppliedCommunications Media. The school has purchased the old Alabama Pubic Television building.  We'll tell you when it will mean for students studying television broadcasting at 6:00pm.
