LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man is behind bars accused of stealing from one church and crashing into another.
Police said Christopher Elliott, 33, and an accomplice were stealing chain link fence from the Living God Church on East Indian Trail.
According to police, once they stopped the suspects and began questioning them, Elliott got into another car and drove off, nearly hitting one of the officers.
A police chase started and came to an end when Elliott crashed into a church on Vim Drive, causing nearly $1,000 in damage.
Elliot took off again after crashing, but was finally arrested after he was bitten by a K-9.
