LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Lawrence County officials arrested three people during a drug raid Friday.
Drug task force agents said they received a tip that Patrick Venturi had unpaid child support. He was supposed to be at the residence of 22322 Co. Rd. 150 in Red Bay. Agents recognized the location for drug activity. Venturi was believed to have been on the run and was wanted .
Agents along with multiple sheriffs' departments dispatched to the location. The residence was a converted school bus. Upon arrival, they discovered Billy Joe Thornton performing a "pill pull." Agents said he also had the ingredients for a one pot meth lab at his feet.
Veronica Dabbs was also discovered trying to flee out the back. She was detained.
Officials performed a search of the residence and found a spent meth lab in the closet, a spent meth lab outside by the camp fire and drug paraphernalia. Dabbs and Thornton were also found with meth on their persons.
Dabbs and Thornton were arrested and charged with unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance first degree, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Venturi was arrested on outstanding warrants and transferred to Lawrence County Detention Center.
