MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA)-  Police are investigating an early morning shooting in West Montgomery. 

Around 2:20 a.m. Sunday, Montgomery Police and Fire medics responded to Baptist South regarding a patient with a gunshot wound. 

Police say the shooting happened outside of the old Main Event building located at Court St. and West South Blvd. 

Police say the victim, 35 year old James Myers of Montgomery, received a single gunshot wound to the right leg just above the ankle. Myers injuries are considered non-life threatening.

No arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing, and WSFA 12 News will keep you updated as the information becomes available.
