MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Remember when you were young and your parents told you to work hard, dream big and never give up and you could accomplish anything?

I venture to guess more than a few Alabamians this week were given that pep talk when they were young and repeated that same pep talk to themselves and to their colleagues over the past 7 years.  Because of their hard work and dedication Airbus has chosen Mobile, Alabama as the site of its first U.S. based production facility.

That's right Alabama – the state known for an overly aggressive immigration law, struggling schools, corrupt politicians – you get the idea. Even with all these "issues" Airbus chose us over 32 states and 70 location sites.  Do you think the other 32 states are scratching their heads wondering what just happened?

The reason is simple but not come by easily. It's relationships, it's hard work, it's aggressive smart incentives, it's vision and it's the never give up attitude that wins state championships and $600 million dollar investments by foreign companies.

Congratulations to all involved in bringing this deal to fruition – you dreamed big, worked hard and made it a reality.
