Alabama to Land More Jobs

 

The Governor called a new state initiative to bring more economic development to the state as part of his plan to get Alabamians back to work. It's called "Accelerate Alabama", a five year strategic plan to attract a range of new industries and jobs. Tonight, our Melissa McKinney will show us how it will help lure other businesses like Airbus.  

 Meanwhile, many cities across the state are still celebrating the news that Airbus, a European airplane company, will build its first U.S. assembly plant in Mobile. Max Reiss will have more on what Alabama had to do to lure Airbus to the state.

The man known best as Sheriff Andy Taylor has died. Andy Griffith, who starred as the small-town sheriff on the 1960s TV show that bore his name, was 86.
