UNION SPRINGS, AL (WSFA) -
Drivers be aware: If you're traveling through Bullock County someone is throwing pieces of asphalt at vehicles as they are driving past on a stretch of roadway in Union Springs.
The asphalt is being thrown from behind a white fence at the Sardis Mobile Home Park on Highway 223.
So far, three vehicles have been struck including one belonging to Bullock Co. Commissioner Johnny Adams.
Adams was behind the wheel of his new truck when his driver side window exploded. Adams says he was not injured.
Fortunately, no one has been injured at this point, but three vehicles have been damaged.
A Sardis Mobile Home resident says they actually saw three young kids throwing the asphalt, but did nothing to stop them or call the police.
Suspects are said to be between 12 to 14 years old. It is unknown if they live at the mobile home park or not.
If they are arrested, Commissioner Adams says he will press charges.
For now Adams is stuck with an $800 repair job and the thought of why someone would do such a dangerous thing.
