TUSKEGEE, AL (WSFA) -

Alabama State Troopers have reopened all lanes of Interstate 85 near Tuskegee following a two-vehicle wreck. Investigators say one vehicle overturned and caught fire.

The Notasulga Fire Department responded and extinguished the blaze. Troopers are crediting the use of seatbelts for a serious crash that had no injuries.

Authorities say one vehicle was trying to avoid a tire in the roadway, when a second vehicle attempted to avoid that automobile.

The second vehicle swirved into a median, hit the side of a hill, overturned and burst into flames. The driver, who was wearing his seatbelt, was able to quickly escape the cabin.

The Notasulga Fire Department extinguished the blaze, but the car was a total loss.

One lane of I-85 southbound was closed for approximately an hour, and traffic quickly backed up to the Wire Road exit. All traffic is moving once again.
