A Geneva County sheriff's deputy was injured in an accident around 4:20 this morning on Alabama Highway 52 near County Road 65.
Deputy Cole Mock had just finished a call and was driving towards Samson. His car apparently hydroplaned and hit a telephone pole and a tree. The weather may have been a factor.
The patrol car was totaled and the deputy was taken to a local hospital, where he is in stable condition in the intensive care unit at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.
