DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Two more people have been arrested after an early morning fight Sunday in Decatur sent three people to the hospital.

The fight broke out just after 5 a.m. on 10th Avenue, where police said Jorge Lagunas, 17, – who had originally told police he was 18 – beat two people in the head with a metal pipe, sending them to the Intensive Care Unit at Huntsville Hospital.

Police made a second and third arrest Wednesday after discovering Juan Lopez and a 15-year-old beat one of the same people in the head Lagunas did, and also beat a third victim in the head and body with a car jack and large stick. The third victim was transported to Decatur General Hospital.

Under Alabama state law, any person over the age of 16 can be charged as an adult if the crime being accused involves a deadly weapon; Lagunas was subsequently charged as an adult with second degree assault.

Decatur Police arrested Lopez and the juvenile Wednesday afternoon and charged Lopez with first and second-degree assault.

Both men were booked in the Morgan County Jail on a $110,000 bond. The juvenile is being held in a Tuscumbia detention center awaiting a hearing.

No word yet on what caused the fight.

Decatur Police said Wednesday night more charges are pending in this case.
