Two choirs from the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) won the top Gold Diploma honors in the Open Division of the 2012 World Choir Games.
Chorale and the Meridian 8 jazz group are now eligible to perform in the Champions category of the 2014 World Choir Games in Riga, Latvia.
"The entire SCPA community is proud of what our students and staff have accomplished," said Principal Steve Brokamp. "We are confident that we offer the premier arts-education opportunities in our region, and we are exceptionally thrilled and honored hat now the world community has recognized our vocal groups. We will proudly and enthusiastically prepare for the next World Choir Games in the Champions category in Latvia. We, again, promise to represent our country well."
