The Cherokee County Sheriff's Department says they have charged three juveniles with possession/manufacturing of a destructive device after discovering two Molotov cocktails.
On July 7, a Leesburg resident reported that tires and wheels had been stolen from his residence by suspects in a Chevy S-10 pickup truck. Lt. Jimmy Deberry spotted the suspects in Centre and stopped the vehicle.
The suspects were found to be 2 juveniles. The stolen property along with 2 Molotov cocktails were found in the truck. A third juvenile was discovered to have been involved in the making of the explosives.
The first two juveniles are charged with theft of property and all three are charged with possession/manufacturing of a destructive device. They were transported to the Coosa Valley Youth Detention Center.
