PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) -

The City of Prattville says through traffic on U.S. Highway 31 north is once again reopened following a closure to removed downed power lines.

The lanes will be closed again for a short time when officials will stretch new power lines across the roadway.

A tractor trailer inadvertently pulled down the lines serviced by Alabama Power Tuesday afternoon.

Officials say the pole was broken and the live lines were draped across the busy stretch of roadway just north of Kohn's Western Mall.

Units with the Prattville Police Department were on the scene diverting traffic around the affected area.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
