Former Auburn star Kenny Gabriel will play for the Sacramento Kings in the NBA's Las Vegas Summer League Friday through Thursday at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion. The Kings will play five games all televised on NBA TV in seven days, beginning with a game vs. Charlotte on Friday at 9 pm Central.

"It is going to be a great experience playing with NBA guys and other players who are trying to get a NBA job," said Gabriel. "It will be fun because a lot of people who are not only NBA executives but overseas executives will be there as well. It is going to be a very good chance for me."

The Kings will play the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday at 7 pm CT, the Houston Rockets on Monday at 5:30 pm CT, the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday at 5:30 pm CT and Boston Celtics on Thursday at 5:30 pm CT. The first two games will be in the COX Pavilion while the final three games will be in the Thomas & Mack Center.

Nineteen players participated in the mini-camp in Sacramento from July 9-12. The team includes veterans Jimmer Fredette, Isaiah Thomas and Hassan Whiteside and the fifth overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, Thomas Robinson, along with former Kings forward Darnell Jackson. Other squad members are Alabama's Tony Mitchell, Cincinnati's Yancy Gates, California's Patrick Christopher, Cal State Fullerton's Josh Akognon, Azusa Pacific's Dominique Johnson, Ball State's Jarrod Jones, UCLA's Lazeric Jones, Notre Dame's Rob Kurz, St. Bonaventure's Michael Lee, UC Santa Barbara's James Nunnally and IUPUI's Alex Young.

Assistant Coaches Alex English and Bobby Jackson will be responsible for coaching the Kings' summer league entry. Kings.com will provide comprehensive coverage of Summer League at Kings.com/offseason12. NBATV will televise all 60 NBA Summer League games, including 39 live. Games will also be available on digital platforms. Complete broadcast information will be released at a later date.

Gabriel recorded the first triple-double in the 106-year history of Auburn basketball with all career-highs of 24 points, 13 rebounds and 10 blocks vs. Bethune-Cookman on Jan. 2. The Charlotte, N.C., native, was named the team's MVP and finished tied for second in the SEC with 2.3 blocks per game and was eighth in the league with 7.3 rebounds. He finished as the runner-up at the State Farm College Slam Dunk Championship at the Final Four in New Orleans.
