MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Three of  the four defendants who pleaded guilty in the federal corruption trial should learn their fate today.

Sentencing is scheduled for some time after 10am today for Country Crossing Developer Ronnie Gilley, casino lobbyist Jarred Massey and former state representative Terry Spicer.

WSFA 12 News will interrupt programming on air for a special report once the sentences are handed down.  The report will also be streamed live on WSFA.com.

Gilley's attorneys are seeking home detention and supervised probation, although legal analysts believe it's unlikely that he will avoid a prison sentence.

Gilley, Massey and Spicer pleaded guilty in a wide-ranging federal corruption investigation involving Milton McGregor, four present and former state senators, two of the state's most prominent lobbyists and two others.

Gilley and Massey were the key witnesses for federal prosecutors at two trials, but each time, juries acquitted all nine defendants .  Massey and Gilley each face up to 27 years in prison, though the justice department recommended significantly reduced sentences.

Massey and Gilley will each receive credit for time served.  Both spent a few months in jail before posting bond.  Jennifer Pouncey, who also pleaded guilty, won't be sentenced until August.
