The Tuscaloosa Police Department will hold a news conference at 1:00pm concerning the arrest of the man wanted in connection to the overnight shooting at a Tuscaloosa bar where 17 people were injured.

The suspect, currently unidentified, was taken into custody at the FedEx location in Jasper. That's approximately 45 minutes from Tuscaloosa. Authorities from the Tuscaloosa Police Department as well as agents of the U.S. Marshal Service are en route to the Jasper Police Department.
The incident happened around 1am at Copper Top Bar located at 4th and 23rd Streets.
According to authorities, someone on the outside of the bar started shooting inside the location. Police say there are multiple victims, with at least 11 people shot. According to DCH Regional Medical Center, 17 victims have been treated for injuries.
Two victims are in critical condition and two are listed as in serious condition. The hospital went on lock down during the incident and remained under lock down until 3 a.m.
