LAWRENCEBURG, TN (WAFF) -
A Lawrenceburg woman is charged with child abuse after authorities said she left her 9-month-old in her apartment alone for several hours.
Jodi Beth Bell, 29, reportedly left her 9-month-old infant home alone on Saturday while she went to celebrate her birthday with friends. The child was allegedly left unattended for several hours.
Lawrenceburg Police officers and the Tennessee Department of Children Services took Bell and her two children to the police department and began an investigation.
The children have been placed with family members, and Bell was charged with one count of child abuse and neglect and taken to the Lawrence County Jail on a $2500 bond.
