DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
One person is behind bars after Morgan County Sheriff's deputies found him in possession of a counterfeiting set up.
Deputies said they were executing a warrant at a residence on 19th Avenue at the Trywood Apartments. When officers arrived, they found marijuana, prescription pills, guns, counterfeit money and the equipment to make the bills.
Steve Shackleford, a felon out of Louisiana, was arrested and faces a number of charges including possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm.
Sheriff Ann Franklin said she did not believe he was working alone and hopes to track down accomplices.
"We feel like he is a medium grade dealer here in Morgan County, but we want to turn over the source, and that's our goal any time we do a search warrants to try to get the drugs off the street to the end suppliers," said Franklin.
Shackleford also faces federal charges for the counterfeit money.
All of the evidence is being turned over to the District Attorney.
