The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Lush Life, has announced a voluntary recall of about 6000 Lush Life power strips. The power strips were sold at Burlington Coat Factory stores, The Container Stores and other retail stores nationwide from July 2010 through March 2012.
The power strips have undersized wiring which poses a risk of shock to consumers. In addition, the wiring and plastic strip fail to meet fire resistance safety standards, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
The recall involves four designs of power strips: leopard, rose, skull and zebra. The model numbers, which can be found on the six-outlet power strips, are as follows:
12256
12257
22563
22575
Consumers should immediately stop using the power strips and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
For additional information, please contact the firm toll-free at (888) 223-2628 between 8:30 a.m. through 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit the firm's web site at www.burlingtoncoatfactory.com
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is interested in receiving incident or injury reports that are either directly related to this product recall or involve a different hazard with the same product. Contact the CPSC at saferproducts.gov to tell them of your experience with the product.
