Rain Causes Problems In Escambia County On Election Day

Secretary of State Nancy Worley says Tuesday's election has gone smoothly, with only one major problem.

A polling place in Escambia County was flooded by heavy rains overnight, and a building nearby had to be used for voting. Worley says the turnout has been light around the state. She cites three factors: a lack of contested races, the rain, and the election falling the day after a long holiday weekend.
