MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
Former Carver High School basketball star Craig Sword was arrested Sunday and charged with misdemeanor possession of a firearm.
Sword, who will be a freshman at Mississippi State this upcoming fall, was found to be carrying a BB gun in his dorm.
MSU basketball coach Rick Ray said Sword realizes the severity of his actions and is extremely remorseful.
Sword will likely start this season for the Bulldogs.
