MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
Memorial service arrangements are now finalized for Carl Stephens, a longtime employee of WSFA 12 News and voice of the Auburn Tigers.
Southern Memorial Funeral Home confirms that Stephens' memorial service will be at First United Methodist Church, Montgomery, at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Visitation will take place at 1:00 p.m.
Stephens, known by many as either "Cartoon Carl" or "You're so right, Carl" passed away Wednesday evening following a brief illness. He was 77-years-old.
Carl, who worked for WSFA 12 News for 40 years in many capacities, is survived by his wife, Mary, children Richard and Sandra, and several grandchildren.
