PELHAM, AL (WBRC) -
A road paving project in Pelham will shut down various lanes of U.S. 31 this week.
The inside and outside lanes and shoulders of U.S. 31 will be closed in the evenings after rush hour for a paving operation. The road work will be between County Road 68 East and the intersection of Alabama 119 in Shelby County.
See the scheduled lane closures from the Alabama Department of Transportation below:
Monday, August 6 at 7 p.m. until Tuesday, August 7 at 6 a.m.: Northbound from (milepost 256.0) to (milepost 259.0), work is primarily expected in the inside lane.
Tuesday, August 7 at 7 p.m. until Wednesday, August 8 at 6 a.m.: Northbound from (milepost 256.0) to (milepost 260.0), work should finish in the inside lane and begin the outside lane.
Wednesday, August 8 at 7 p.m. until Thursday, August 9 at 6 a.m.: Northbound from (milepost 260.0) to (milepost 260.5), work should finish in the outside lane and then begin and complete the shoulders.
