PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) -
Prattville authorities say a motorcyclist is recovering from injuries sustained in a wreck Monday evening along South Memorial Drive.
Investigators say the motorcyclist and a pickup truck were traveling along the road in the 1400 block of South Memorial Drive around 6:30pm when the truck changed lanes. The motorcyclist laid down his bike in the median to avoid a collision.
Police say the biker suffered road rash as the result of the crash and was transported to an area hospital for evaluation. Though unidentified by name at this point, the man's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Units caught up to the pickup truck driver several miles from the scene and questioned him regarding the incident. The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this point.
The crash is being deemed a one-vehicle traffic crash and not a hit-and-run.
