A Cincinnati native and the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services highlighted Children's Hospital as a leader in its use of technology.

As part of FOX19's commitment to balanced news, the innovation is 'What's Working' in the Tri-State.

Kathleen Sebelius toured the facility to see the hospital's cutting edge technology, such as electronic medical records.

She also spoke with families who have experienced improved care thanks to a new program that has come to Children's.

It allows doctors from across the region to better communicate, and more easily access patients' medical history.

Sebeliuis says this technology at Children's Hospital is especially important for conditions like childhood asthma, which is the number one reason why kids are hospitalized.
