CHELSEA, AL (WBRC) -
The Bay County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that a Chelsea teen that was struck by lightning has passed away.
14-year-old Tristan Barger and his step father, 42-year-old James Keith Brown, were struck on August 6th while trying to get back to their boat from the beach. Brown was carrying Barger due to a recently injured ankle.
Brown was killed at the scene. Barger was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital where he passed away on Wednesday night.
Tristan Barger fought for several days, but was overcome by his injuries.
