DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) -

Investigators say the suspect held in connection with a multi-fatal shooting at a nightclub near Dothan in south Alabama had been in a dispute and was escorted from the building before the shootings occurred.

After being escorted out, police say 22-year-old Ryan Clark Peterson, an Enterprise resident, retrieved a pistol from his vehicle and went back inside Teasers nightclub in Wicksburg. That's about 12 miles west of the city of Dothan.

Authorities say Peterson shot four people, fatally wounding three. The fatally wounded victims are identified as Tiffany Paige Grissett, 31 of Dale County; Thomas Robins, Jr., 59 of Dothan; and the nightclub owner's son, Cameron Eubanks, 20 of Dothan.

The fourth victim, Scotty Russell, 33 of Opp, survived the shooting. His current condition is not immediately known.

Peterson fled the scene, but a search was initiated. Seven hours later, at approximately 7:15am, investigators found the man, wearing only a pair of shorts, in a wooded area about a half a mile from the crime scene.

Peterson was taken into custody without incident by Houston County Sheriff's deputies and transfered to the county jail. Officers reported that the man was still under the influence of alcohol at the time of his arrest.

Peterson is now charged with three counts of capital murder and one count of attempted murder.
