A juvenile is in serious condition after he was shot in the face Saturday morning.
According to police, the victim told hospital personnel Saturday morning he was riding in a car with friends near Medaris Road when subjects in a nearby car fired shots. The victim was shot in the face.
His friends rushed him to the emergency room and then fled.
The car the boy was in during the shooting was located and secured for further investigation.
The victim is in serious condition. Officials said his injuries are not life-threatening at this time.
