PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -
A Phenix City attorney was arrested on five outstanding warrants, including one for first-degree theft.
The warrants were issued for 39-year-old Dana Gentry after he failed to appear at an arraignment hearing in a Lee County courtroom.
Gentry was arrested at his Phenix City home and was transported to the Lee County Detention Facility without incident.
This is not the first time Gentry has been arrested. He was previously arrested last September after a grand jury indicted him on charges of criminal possession of a forged instrument (felony) and criminal simulation.
This time, he is being held on a $5,000 bond.
Gentry made headlines last summer after rescuing a Georgia woman and her son from a rip current at Panama City Beach.
