Sisters reunited in Toledo after a 30 year search

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - After a 30 year search, Martha Ogle has been reunited with her long lost family. Ogle was adopted 50 years ago under the presumption that she was an orphan. Last year, Ogle found her birth mother and discovered a new family she never knew she had.

Ogle was born as a result of rape and her mother was not given the choice to keep her. Finding her mother meant finding an entire new family.

"See, I always knew I was adopted and knew there was someone else, she never even knew about me," said Ogle

Monica Tomlins is Ogle's long lost sister. The two met for the first time in May when Ogle took a trip to meet her lost family in London. Three months later the two met in America

"Smack in the face with a wet kipper comes to mind. Just shock because when you're not aware, it's the last  thing that you're expecting," said Tomlins.

For the next two weeks, the pair plan on attending a Mud Hens game, Put In Bay and the Rock N' Roll hall of fame.

"We have our two weeks to spend together, we're going to do whatever we can do, try to fit 50 years into two weeks," said Ogle.

The most important part to them is being sisters.

"Sister stuff, that's what it's all about. Kind of like, when Marty takes the grandchildren to school, I just want to tag along and do that. Just stuff we haven't had the chance to do," said Ogle.
