MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
No matter what the storm models paths are predicting, Home Depot Operations Manager Mitchell Cramer says sales indicate people are preparing for the storm to hit.
"[We're] sold out of generators. We are prepared with some coming in soon. We have started selling tarps and flashlights, sales have picked up," Cramer said.
Cramer works at the Eastern Boulevard location. He says in a two day period, workers have had to restock severe weather related essentials as customers like Christopher Walker gear up for Isaac.
"I need a couple of tarps just in case a window gets broke. Just in case the weather gets bad and you can't get out of the house, you already go it so don't wait until the last minute," Walker said.
"I lived in Mobile so I went through Frederick down there and Opal which come through here also," Montgomery resident Jim Williams said.
Williams reminds us from experience about things to think about before it's too late.
"If you want to be prepared, you need to make sure any vehicle you got has plenty of gas because once the storm hits if it does, you won't be able to get gas, plus you will beat the price increase for gas if you do that," Williams said.
He says remember to clear your yard before the storm.
"The loose things that are laying in your yard because if the storm comes through it's going to pick that up and throw it all over the place," Williams said.
Many are hoping for the best, while preparing for the worst.
