Tuesday, the Auburn Tigers held a two-hour practice in full pads at the Auburn Athletics Complex Practice Fields, preparing for Saturday's season opener versus Clemson in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at Atlanta's Georgia Dome.    

"Obviously this is an exciting week for Auburn," said Auburn head coach Gene Chizik. "It's game week, so that's a great thing for our football team. I think it's that time of the year where they're about tired of beating on each other. They realize that game week is here, so that's exciting for our fans and for our team and for our coaches.  

"We're in a good place. We're really looking forward to this great challenge. We have a fantastic opportunity here to see where we stand as a football team. We have a lot of work to do before we play Saturday, but we're going to continue to try to improve and see what we can do Saturday night."
