    Dozens of people have died after a second day of tornadoes twisted through Oklahoma, this time taking aim at the town of Moore, south of Oklahoma City.

More than 100 people have now been rescued from there Moss Point homes after Isaac dumped torrential rains in the city. Police said emergency calls began coming in early Thursday morning from people panicking as the water began to rise on their streets. Residents said they are happy that they are now out of harm's way. 

You could hear the rain pounding and see water rising in Moss Point Thursday. A team of drenched firefighters and police lead boat after boat of people from the flood waters surrounding their homes. Those being rescued admitted that they never imagined Isaac would turn their roads into rivers and leave them trapped. 

"Yes, I am very scared," a woman said. 

"It's kind of got half way [water] and then this morning it was high, high," a Moss Point resident said.

Police Chief Keith Davis said Isaac's powerful punch was also a shocker to him.

"I thought that the worse of the storm was over, but at some point the storm turned and we started to get a lot of rain. We started to come back on us, so right heavy, heavy flood waters on the streets in east Moss Point," Davis said.

Over on Jasmine Street, police went door to door to help get folks out before the water got any higher. A mother, her baby and their godfather Wayne Cameron were in a partially submerged trailer.  

"It was coming up, and I said I got another two feet before it starts coming in. I think it about time for us to go," Cameron said.

So far, 110 people are now safe thanks to emergency responders. After going through Isaac, several Moss Point residents said, they will think twice about riding out a storm.

"Yes, I should have evacuated," Cameron said. 

The city also called for a mandatory evacuation on the east-side of Highway 63, from Karen Street to the Kreole Community, after receiving word Mobile, AL was going to open its flood gates.   

The residents rescued were either picked up by friends and family members or brought to one of the Jackson County Shelters.
