Alabama rolls over Michigan 41-14

Posted: Updated:

An explosive Crimson Tide offense that showed balance between its rushing and passing games, along with a tough defense that also showed an opportunistic side, decided the outcome early as the No. 2 ranked Alabama football team raced out to a 31-0 lead in the second quarter on the way to a decisive 41-14 victory over No. 8 Michigan Saturday night in the Cowboys Classic at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

AJ McCarron passed for 199 yards and two touchdowns, freshman running back T.J. Yeldon rushed for 111 yards and linebacker C.J. Mosley returned an interception for a score as Alabama dominated the Wolverines and put the game away early. Yeldon became the first true freshman running back in Alabama history to start his career by eclipsing 100 yards rushing.
