SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport Police have identified the man shot and killed when he walked in on a home invasion in progress early Sunday morning.

22-year-old Noah Randle entered the apartment as two armed men who took several items from the home tried to leave. Police say Randle and the suspects started struggling, which is when one of the suspects shot Randle in the head. Both suspects then ran from the scene.

The victim was taken to LSU Health, where he was later pronounced dead. No one else was injured in the incident.

The home invasion happened Sunday about 2:15 a.m. in the 3200 block of Knight Street. Police received a call from the Summer Trace apartments on a reported shooting. Once there, the victims said they had been confronted by two men as they sat outside on their patio. The witnesses said the men, both wearing coverings on their faces and armed with handguns, forced them inside at gunpoint.

According to police, the suspects were described as black males, both approximately five feet eleven inches to six feet one inches in height, weighing approximately 150-160 pounds. The investigation is ongoing at this hour as authorities seek to identify and apprehend the suspects. Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call Shreveport Police at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Crimes Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
