BENTON, AL (WSFA) -
All lanes of U.S. Hwy. 80 have reopened and flowing smoothly after an 18-wheeler overturned around 8am Tuesday. Both eastbound lanes of Hwy. 80 were blocked for about an hour.
The accident occurred near the town of Benton at mile marker 100. That's between Whitehall and Selma.
The Coca-Cola truck was the only vehicle involved in the accident. The driver is said to have received minor injuries.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
