BOAZ, AL (WAFF) -

A soldier from Boaz won a dream wedding for he and his fiancee.

First Lieutenant Bobby Hill and First Lieutenant Katie Durham are both stationed in Afghanistan. Because they are so far away, the couple is having a difficult time planning a wedding, so they entered to win a dream wedding from Magnolia Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina.

They entered a video into the contest and asked for votes. In the video, the couple detailed how they met, fell in love, got engaged, and then got sent to Afghanistan.

Katie and Bobby were deployed earlier this year, a month after he proposed at sunrise on a dock in Key West, Florida, while they were on vacation with her parents.

Out of the seven semifinalists, their video received the most votes.

By winning the "Sharing the Romance" contest, they will receive a wedding package valued at $50,000. That includes limo, tux, tent rental, hotel stay, wedding planner, wedding music, cake, and many more prizes from vendors in Charleston.
