PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Police agencies across the Valley are looking for a man and woman who are targeting senior citizens in a car repair scam.

"I should have known better," said one victim whose identity CBS 5 News agreed to conceal.

She was pulling out of a Goodyear Albertson's parking lot when a man in a faded red truck told her that her back tire was wobbling dangerously. For $400, he said he could fix it and have her back on the road.

"And I think I just had a senior moment. And unfortunately it cost me money, but that's what happened," she said.

Victims reported similar incidents at least four times across the Valley over the summer. In every one, the victims were pulling out of grocery store parking lots when they were approached. The crooks included a man and woman working together.
