LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Loading up on Starbucks does not seem like the way to lose weight, but one woman said the coffee chain helped her drop close to 85 pounds.
Christine Hall, 66, said she ate at Starbucks every day for two years. She said Starbucks puts nutrition information on the labels of their packaged foods which made it easier to keep track of her calorie intake.
Dietitians warn that this plan may not work for everyone.
"When you follow something that eliminates entire food groups or limits you to one particular restaurant, it's very difficult to be healthy and meet all of your nutrition needs," said Rebecca Scritchfield, registered dietitian.
"Losing weight is hard, but I realized I could do it. I found myself a system that worked," said Hall.
Hall said they other big key to her weight loss success was the free online calorie counting website.
