When Whitney Holladay's daughter started school at Morgan Academy she wanted to get involved with the school. It turned into a career. "I was a stay at home mom and just wanted to volunteer when she started," Holladay said. "But they had an open position that fit my skill set in advanced mathematics."
So three years ago she became a teacher, and she's never looked back. "I'm pretty laid back. I like to make it a classroom where they can just interact and have a conversation."
She teaches mainly juniors and seniors, and she really enjoys helping them get ready for the next stage in life. "I like hearing about their plans and dreams and helping them get ready for college."
Congratulations Ms. Whitney Holladay from Morgan Academy in Selma, you're this weeks Class Act.
