Officials safely recovered the missing Alabama teen early Saturday morning.
Around 3am Saturday, agents from the FBI took 36-year-old Charles Dean Partin and 36-year-old Julie Ann Bethke into custody in Ohio. They also safely recovered 15-year-old Ailene Mariz Lander and the other five children.
Partin is suspected of kidnapping his 15-year-old stepdaughter from the Southeast Alabama Medical Center on September 17.
According to a statement released by the Cincinnati Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the FBI Cincinnati SWAT team rescued Lander Saturday morning at a residence in the Price Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati. Partin was arrested on a federal warrant for kidnapping. Bethke was also arrested on a state warrant out of Alabama for interference with the custody of a minor. Charles Partin and Julie Bethke are the minor's non-custodial parents.
The investigation was led by the FBI's Mobile, Alabama Division. The Cincinnati Police Department assisted in the local operation.
