Well, the honeymoon's over.
After saying Saturday that he was "pleased" with his player's performance against Florida Atlantic University, Coach Nick Saban opened Monday's press conference with what the team needs to improve for this weekend's match against Ole Miss.
"We have a lot of work to do; a lot to prove as a football team," Saban said.
It's clear that Saban is switching gears for the team's second SEC matchup. Saban said that the team needs to focus on being more competent and give their attention to all the details of the game.
"I think that's going to be critical for us, especially getting back into SEC play against a very good team this week," he said. "Ole Miss is a much improved team."
Saban praised the Mississippi school's offensive record and how they've played "hard" and with "a lot of spirit."
The Crimson Tide will host Ole Miss at home this weekend. Kick off is at 8:15 p.m. CST on ESPN.
