TAYLOR COUNTY, KY (WAVE) - It was anything but a typical delivery for a young Kentucky couple after they gave birth to their baby girl at home.
Sarah Bell awoke to contractions early Saturday, which kept getting stronger, so she and her fiance' Matthew Lynn headed to their family doctor at Taylor County Hospital.
They said they were told not to worry and to go back home. A couple of hours later, Sarah headed to the bathroom, "I tried to make it back to the bed, but I couldn't make it. I had another contraction and she just kept pushing so I got over by the bathtub and hollered to wake him up. I wasn't sure she was coming, but I told him, if she is, we got to get somewhere. In the middle of deciding where we were going to go, she started coming out," she recalled.
Matthew ran to grab the phone and call 911, but the baby was already halfway out.
Medics arrived shortly after and took the family to the hospital.
The mother and baby are doing just fine.
