MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
Alabama Congressman Mike Rogers joined fellow Republicans in criticizing the Obama Administration's response to the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya. The White House has now stated the attack was a planned terrorist operation.
Before that, the administration maintained it was the result of frustration over an anti-Islamic film.
"We've heard from the state department that there was an organized effort that was of concern, so yeah, I think there has been more politics than should be involved in these kinds of things and that's disturbing," Rogers said.
Democrats charge Republicans are the ones playing politics with the issue of national security. Rogers represents the Third District and serves on both the House Armed Services Committee and the House Homeland Security Committee.
