BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -
An Auburn University football player has been arrested in Georgia.
Wide receiver Quan Bray was held in the Carroll County Jail after being arrested by University of West Georgia police. Captain Harris with the University of West Georgia PD says Bray was pulled over on Thursday night around 11 p.m. for loud music. While speaking with Bray, officers say they discovered an open bottle of alcohol and also found that he was driving on a limited driving permit.
Bray was cited for loud music, violating his driving permit and possession of alcohol under the age of 21. He was booked into the jail and bonded out around 10 a.m.
Police say Bray had not been drinking Thursday night. Coach Gene Chizik indicated he will address this issue after Sunday's practice.
So far, Chizik has already sent quarterback Zeke Pike home, suspended center Reese Dismukes and has dealt with the tragic shooting at a party attended by some current Auburn football players.
