Woman Hits Train In Elmore County

A woman is counting her blessings after the car she was driving hit a train Thursday morning. It happened on Jackson Street not far from the Elmore Post Office.

Investigators are not sure how the wreck happened, but they say her car was slung around and slammed into an embankment. Amazingly, she suffered only cuts and bruises. The CSX train was carrying rocks from Pensacola to Birmingham.
