First Lady continues 'Blankets with a Blessing' tradition

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

First Lady Dianne Bentley held a news conference on Monday announcing her promotion of the "Blankets with a Blessing" Christmas tradition.

Since the initiative began in 2004, Blankets with a Blessing has provided thousands of quilts and blankets to homeless and displaced families during the Christmas season.

Last year, Mrs. Bentley donated 55 blankets to the SafeHouse of Shelby County.
