STARK COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -
A 10-year-old girl with Cerebral Palsy is seen walking off her school bus. Her mother says a neighbor, along with his son, make fun of the disabled child.
She says that neighbor is 43-year-old William Bailey of East Sparta. Trisha Knight says, "I really don't have anything to say to him right now. Not that I wish to say."
Knight is upset over the ridiculing. 19 Action News has learned both families have children who go to the same school, and this looks like a neighborhood feud. Knight says she's afraid of the neighbor and so are her children. "They don't want to play outside. They don't want to sleep in their bedroom."
Reporter Scott Taylor tried to track Bailey down to hear what he had to say about the situation, but he wasn't having it and took off. "We just want to get your side of the story." Bailey sped off saying, "Get the camera out of my face."
Bailey has been in trouble with the law before. He was found guilty of aggravated menacing in a separate case.
The little girl's mom is looking to get a civil protection order against her neighbor. She'll be in court later this month.
